This Way North
Two piece drums and guitar indie rock band This Way North are full of rapturous nostalgia, their music takes you from moody, tremolo-tinged heart-tuggers to pounding driving alt-psych rock through a sonic landscape of reverb-soaked guitars and rolling rhythms. With odes to 90’s rock sitting on air-tight grooves and full, cinematic spaciousness, This Way North’s music is a portal to summer festivals, their love affair with the road, and an open invitation to turn up the volume and let loose.
Toby Mobbs
Pop-folk singer-songwriter and recording artist
Toby Mobbs is a librarian by day and pop-folk singer-songwriter by night. Mobbs has sought to carve a unique music style both live and in the studio by incorporating thick, dynamic, and rhythmic guitar, warm vocals, and introspective lyrical storytelling. When not in his hometown of Albury NSW, you will find him traveling around Australia finding new towns and audiences to connect with, providing insight into the stories behind the music, and promoting his latest studio releases.
While Toby has been labelled one of the hardest working independent touring musicians in the country, and having supported the likes of Thirsty Merc, Josh Pyke, and Winterbourne, his studio recordings shine a different light to his stripped back performances on stage. These recordings break far away from the solo artist typecast, showcasing a unique interpretation of the many musical genres that inspire his writing.
In 2022 Mobbs toured every Australian capital city for his ‘Placid In The Rough’ National Tour travelling 14,500km in his car over 28 days. This tour promoted his debut album by the same name with tracks taking out the #1 spot on the Atomic music charts for an unprecedented 15 consecutive weeks, #1 spot for Rock and #2 overall on the Triple J Unearthed charts, and #3 on AMRAP’s national weekly regional charts.

Upcycled Wood Designs
The struggle is over. You can stop wasting precious time checking local furniture stores and scrolling the internet to find the perfect piece. Trying to match something to a specific space in the right colour, design and timber is no easy feat. But it’s a challenge I love to overcome.
My passion is creating custom wood furniture that tells a story or becomes place makers for new ones. I use sustainably sourced and reclaimed materials to fashion tailor-made furniture driven by a customer’s vision.
The goal is to ensure you get exactly what you’re after, so you value it forever.
I inherited my love of wood crafting (and custom furniture) from my Swiss grandfather. I fondly recall days spent as a child watching him carve animals from pieces of wood that he found around Wellington. I also helped him to make the most beautiful cuckoo clocks, one of which still hangs on the wall of my parents’ home today.
I don’t offer a standard range of furniture, aside from some signature pieces, which means that each piece of furniture I make is specifically tailored and hand-crafted to your needs.
Assisting you in this process, we discuss each piece in detail and help you with design and timber selection, before commencing a build.
The material I use is sustainably sourced or reclaimed which means my pieces are ethically produced, hand-crafted, and one of a kind. But don’t let that scare you either. People are often surprised by how competitive my prices are.
And for what it’s worth, for every product I make I donate 5 trees to One Tree Planted.
My clients include the Royal Hotel in Corowa, Speirs Ryan law firm in Sydney, Alpine Hotel in Bright, Pandanas apartments in Mollymook, Ground Cafe in Wollongong, Enhance physiotherapy Albury, and Brokenwood Wines in Pokolbin.
I’ve also made and donated a timber bench to be displayed as part of a memorial at the Wodonga Army Barracks.
