The Burrumbuttock 150th Celebration Festival

The Burrumbuttock 150th Celebration: From Then to Now will be held from Friday 3 October to Sunday 5 October 2025 at the Burrumbuttock Recreation Reserve, bringing together locals, past residents and visitors to mark 150 years of community history.

Over the three days, the program will showcase the town’s heritage and vibrant spirit through a wide range of activities and events. Highlights include a Fashion Retrospective celebrating clothing styles across the decades, the arrival of the Lexus Melbourne Cup Trophy Tour offering unique photo opportunities, and a colourful street parade featuring vintage machinery, floats and community groups. Families will enjoy market and food stalls, a coffee van, children’s entertainment such as face painting and a jumping castle, plus music and performances.

Cultural highlights include a bush dance, displays by local schools, and the official launch of a new history book documenting Burrumbuttock’s journey over 150 years. The celebration concludes on Sunday with an ecumenical church service and a special commemoration re-enactment of bell ringing, honouring the town’s deep roots and shared future. This milestone festival promises a rich blend of history, community pride and family fun.
