Memories in Story and Song Written and performed by CarmaRose Riversong is an urgent, emotive celebration of the mighty River Murray, revealing the role rivers play in our lives – past, present and future. Conversations from across kitchen tables inspire real characters and stories in an unfolding narrative. Stories of historic pioneering adversity, drawn from first-hand reportage reveal the spirit of rural Australia in an historical and contemporary lense. The original songs and folk-inspired score, supported by local artists’ immersive imagery, flow with the energy of the River itself. The spirit of country Australia, with Riversong touring traditional Halls and Venues, is a journey of humour, heartbreak, and courage. The story is deeply engaging and serves as a nod to the illustrious days of river trade, while acknowledging the challenges of today’s changing landscape. Riversong, a love letter to the Murray-Darling River. A warm and heartfelt journey… the interdependence of nature and humankind. Peter J Adams : Director Chris Mangan: Music Director
