Discover the art of colour mixing in this inspiring workshop. You’ll begin by choosing a hue you’re drawn to, then learn how to build a soft, cohesive, calm palette around it. Along the way, you’ll explore approachable colour theory concepts – quite possibly different to anything you were taught at school – and uncover how to mix, record, and recreate your own unique colours without relying on store-bought packets.
You’ll also learn why a limited palette can be both creatively liberating and surprisingly economical, opening up a world of subtle, personal tones that are entirely your own.
To finish, you’ll use your custom calm palette to design and create a one-of-a-kind piece of jewellery.
Includes tuition, all materials, tools and equipment, as well as extensive notes to help you continue you your polymer clay practice.
Please wear enclosed shoes, tie long hair back, and wear comfy clothes.
About the Artist
Wendy Moore is an introverted artist and teacher who makes extroverted jewellery and runs joyful workshops. Working primarily with polymer clay and mixing her own colours, Wendy’s art is a response to the diversity and beauty of nature, celebrating shapes, forms, textures and colour. She hopes her work says ‘look and notice; the natural world is utterly amazing’.
Having lived in cities, at the edge of the outback and in a small city in eastern Nepal, Albury is now home (again), and she can often be found on Nail Can Hill seeing her next colour palette in eucalyptus leaves.
