Creativity has a unique power to connect us, shape our communities, and enrich our everyday lives. Here at Murray Arts, we believe deeply in that vision – which is why we are thrilled to champion AusArt Day 2026, taking place nationwide on Thursday, 22 October 2026.

Building on its successful inaugural year, this landmark national initiative unites communities across Australia for a single, powerful day of collective giving, raising vital funds and awareness for the arts and cultural sector.

What is AusArt Day?

AusArt Day is more than just a fundraiser – it is a national public movement celebrating the role of the arts in Australian life. Operating on an open-access model, it welcomes participation from independent artists, collectives, and cultural organisations of all sizes.

The goal is to spark a deeper national conversation around the value of arts and culture, boost arts philanthropy, and inspire generosity for regional creative projects, educational programs, and local performers.

Find and Support Local Arts Organisations

One of the best ways to get involved is by championing the creative groups and cultural workers right in your own backyard. You can explore campaigns, connect with creators, and support organisations in your local area by visiting the official 2026 Participants Gallery on the Creative Australia website.

How You Can Get Involved
  • Donate: Give directly to your favourite artists and organisations via the participants gallery. Many contributions over $2 made through platforms like the Australian Cultural Fund (ACF) are tax-deductible.
  • Spread the Word: Share campaigns online, talk about the value of the arts, and help elevate arts philanthropy.

Let’s come together to support the creatives, educators, and performers who bring so much life and connection to our regional communities. To search for local participants and learn more, visit the Creative Australia AusArt Day Participants Page.
