We invite applications from First Nations artists, curators, and artist collectives working across any contemporary visual arts practice.

We strongly encourage proposals that reflect diverse voices and experimental approaches, and that engage meaningfully with the context of Platform as a critical, community-engaged, and artist-led space.

Canberra Contemporary will provide the selected First Peoples Program exhibitor with $2,000 total financial support, including:

  • $1,000 artist project fee
  • $1,000 contribution toward travel, freight, accommodation

Applications close Friday 19 September, 5pm (AEST)

To apply, fill out the online application form.

For more information, please read the Platform 2026 First Peoples Program Application Guide.
