INTERPLAY is a mixed media exhibition by local artists Teri Friesen and Anne Nolan, showing at Gateway Gallery until 22 March. “Our work is heavily influenced by our surroundings and every-day objects. In this exhibition our art is inspired by the raw materials, shapes and spaces of a deconstructed piano. Using a variety of media, including original piano pieces, we aim to explore and capture the essence of and interplay between these elements creating abstract interpretations of both the physical and ephemeral qualities and elements of the original object. We invite the audience to engage with these works bringing their own interpretation to each piece.” ARTISTS’ TALK: Saturday 15 March, 11am–12pm Come and meet Anne and Terri at the gallery as they present a Talk about their inspiration and development of the artworks behind INTERPLAY. All welcome!
