About

I am a freelance musician and composer with over 20 years' experience working professionally in the arts both nationally and across the globe. I have performed my original work across five continents, and been the Musical Director for Circus Oz, Yothu Yindi And The Treaty Project and the Flying Fruit Fly Circus, in addition to numerous collaborations with companies including Extraordinary Bodies (UK), Cirkus Cirkor (Sweden) Polyglot, Arena Theatre, NICA and Force Majeure (Australia). I am passionate about writing original music, and creating art and performances that are free and accessible to everyone. I perform as electronic artist Synthotronica (all original upbeat electronic music with live baritone saxophone and triangle), with recent local performances including Riverside Vibes Albury 2023, Two Fingers Bar Albury and Boogie At The Brewery at Tumut River Brewing Co. With Synthotronica I perform as a street performer at many community events and festivals, including international events The Buskers' World Games (Gwangju, South Korea 2022), Honk! Festival Rio de Janeiro (2019) and Tollwood Winter Festival Germany (2018). I also perform as a solo pianist, including with projection concert My Shadow Is My Only Follower (CoCreate Wodonga 2022), and my Allegro Non Oppo project, which is a series of solo piano concerts taking places in local op shops. My audiovisual practice involves gathering field recordings and video footage from specific locations, which I then warp and manipulate to create kaleidoscopic psychedelic audiovisual portraits of place that are made up entirely of sounds and sights gathered on location.
I have scored over fifty Australian circus, theatre, dance and moving image works.
