OPEN
Music Works - Major Funding Rounds Creative Victoria The Music Works Grants program invests in the development and support of Victoria's contemporary music artists and music industries. It provides support for projects and programs that will develop and bring dynamism to Victoria's contemporary music sector, increase employment and build cultural capital. The program is open to new ideas, new modes of practice and new approaches to the delivery of contemporary music that will build on Victoria's position as a world-famous live music capital and Australia's contemporary music hub. Applications close 28 February 2019.
BigCi Environmental Awards 2019 Bilpin International Ground for Creative Initiatives Australian and International Artists from various fields – visual art, installation, multimedia, performance, literature, music, photography, film making, curating – are invited to submit entries for the BigCi Environmental Awards 2019. The two winning artists will each receive (4) free weeks of BigCi residency and AUD$2,500 spending money. In addition to that, up to AUD$2,000 flight travel subsidy will be shared between the two winners. Applications close 3 March 2019.
Moran Contemporary Photographic Prize Moran Prizes With a prize pool of one hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) the Moran Contemporary Photographic Prize is an important part of Australia’s arts calendar. The winner of the Prize receives $50,000. Finalists receive $1,000 each. Student category prizes are awarded to both the winner and their school including:$5,000 for Year 11/12, $3,000 for Year 9/10, $2,000 for year 7/8. Primary school student finalists receive a camera. Applications close 6 March 2019.
Evaluation Exchange Creative Victoria Evaluation Exchange is a stream of the Social Impact Program, which is an action of the Victorian Government’s Creative State strategy that aims to improve the lives of Victorians through creative experiences and participation, and the application of the creative services. Applications close 7 March 2019.
Next Generation 2019 - New Performance Development Incubator C.U.R.A - Centro Umbro Residenze Artistiche Next Generation is a special program open to individual artists, companies and informal groups during which the artists will have the opportunity to begin experimenting with ideas for new performances (theatre, dance, performance, etc.) The artists will have the opportunity to work individually or in groups on their own projects, while immersed in the natural inspiring environment of the Umbria Region. Applications close 8 March 2019.
Ignite Grants Copyright Agency Limited GNITE grants support individuals working in the writing, publishing and visual arts sectors to develop skills and progress their careers. They support projects which provide opportunities to individuals in the writing, publishing and visual arts sectors to acquire knowledge, to undertake mentorships, internships, residencies and leadership opportunities. Applications close 8 March 2019.
Engaging Audiences Creative Victoria The Engaging Audiences program supports cultural facilities funded through the Regional Partnerships program to extend audience engagement programming in order to deepen engagement with current audiences and support growth in new audiences. Applications close 14 March 2019.
Small Regional Presenters Creative Victoria Small Regional Presenters provides funding for regional communities to program and present shows in their area. It also supports skills development and capacity building by encouraging presenters to develop long term plans and audience development strategies. Applications close 14 March 2019.
Community Grants Regional Arts Victoria Up to $15,000 are available for projects that involve regional artists, have a public outcome and significantly engage the community in which the project is based. Community Grants are available in two rounds per year. Applications close 18 March 2019.
PPCA & Australia Council Recording Grants The Australia Council for the Arts Expressions of Interest are now open for a PPCA-Australia Council partnership to support Australian artists to create new sound recordings. You can apply for any costs primarily associated with the creation of a sound recording, which may also involve costs associated with the promotion of that recording. Creative Koori Grants Australia Council for the Arts Creative Koori works to meet the directions of the NSW Aboriginal Arts and Cultural Strategy (Stage Two: Connection, Culture, Pathways) through a focus on market development, careers, government and industry partnerships. Applicants should read the strategy before applying. Applications close 1 April 2019.
Four Year Funding for Organisations Australia Council for the Arts The Australia Council’s Four Year Funding program provides multi-year funding for arts organisations. The next round of Four Year Funding will support organisations from 1 January 2021 until 31 December 2024. Applications close 2 April 2019.
Arts and Disability Mentoring Initiative 2019/21 Australia Council for the Arts The Australia Council for the Arts is offering six grants of $30,000 in each Arts and Disability Mentoring Initiative round. If you are an individual artist or arts worker with disability, these grants can provide support to extend your arts practice, networks, skills and ambition. Applications close 2 April 2019.
Community Presenter Touring Grant Arts on Tour The Community Presenter Touring Grant is an initiative of Arts on Tour. Its purpose is to extend the reach of professional productions to regional towns that do not have professional performing arts infrastructure. The Grant supports the presentation of professional NSW productions in non-professional community-run venues in regional NSW by providing funds towards the performance fee of touring productions. Funds for this Grant have been made available by Create NSW on behalf of the NSW Government. Applications close 8 April 2019.
Fellowships The Australia Council for the Arts Australia Council Fellowships of $80,000 support outstanding, established artists’ creative activity and professional development for a period of up to two years. Please read through the following grant guidelines. Applications close 4 June 2019.
Music Passport Grant Creative Victoria Music Passport Grants is a competitive grants category of the Music Passport program. The program seeks to support not for profit organisations to undertake international activities that increase economic opportunities for Victoria's contemporary popular music sector. Aboriginal Arts Support (Quick Response) Create NSW This program supports professional and market development opportunities for NSW Aboriginal artists and arts/cultural workers. You can apply for up to $5,000. Applications close 29 June 2019.
Create Grants Copyright Agency Limited CREATE grants offer opportunities for mid-career and established creative writers and visual artists to create and develop new work by providing time to write and create. These grants are not intended to support academics with scholarly or academic works. Applications are assessed by a panel of independent peers from the writing, publishing and visual arts sectors. Amount of grant: $10,000, $15,000 or $20,000. Applications close 19 August 2019.

Regional Arts NSW Quick Response Grants Made available under the Regional Arts Fund allocation for NSW, Quick Response Grants offer funding of up to $1,500 for regional artists, arts organisations and communities to respond to unique arts opportunities that present themselves at very short notice and could not be planned for.
Create NSW Aboriginal Artist Support (Quick Response) This program supports professional and market development opportunities for NSW Aboriginal artists and arts/cultural workers.
Regional Arts VIC Quick Response Grants Quick response grants of up to $15,000 for individuals and $3,000 for organisations are available throughout the year.
Indigenous Advancement Strategy Community Led Grants New Community Led grants process that will enable Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, communities and service providers to seek grant funding to address emerging needs and/or opportunities that they have identified as priorities.
Grant Guru First Call Funds This program seeks to support schools and community groups so they can experience the huge variety of live performances, workshops and other participatory events at Arts Centre Melbourne.
Sturt Craft Centre Sturt Craft Centre Artist in Residence Sturt Craft Centre invites applications from experienced craft practitioners to the Sturt Artist-in-Residence program. Residencies occur in the craft disciplines of ceramics, jewellery/metalwork, textiles and woodwork. Four to six residencies occur at Sturt each year.

The NSW Artists’ Grant has been initiated by NAVA to assist professional visual and media arts, craft and design practitioners residing in NSW to produce, present and promote their work throughout NSW, interstate and overseas. This program is funded by Create NSW.

Create NSW Arts and Cultural Projects funding supports professional arts and cultural projects at any stage of the creative process. Up to $60,000 for projects delivered within 12 months or up to $75,000 for projects delivered over more than 12 months.
