Imaginations will be ignited as audiences move through an immersive world of light and sound on Gateway Island this September.

Murray Arts presents Limelight: a free outdoor art experience where digital artists and local creatives transform the darkness to enlighten your world.

WHERE Gateway Island Village, Wodonga
WHEN 6:30 - 8:30 Thursday 20 September

“This unique arts event is like no other in our region. We have assembled a collection of interactive artworks with truly engaging messages, and a crew of eager volunteers to make this a lively and fun evening on the Island!” Alyce Fisher, Executive Director of Murray Arts

Step inside the immersive 360° projection environment of the Pygmy Perch 360°. You’ll enter an underwater world, journey along with the fish and have your senses stimulated from every direction. Follow the path to the Flaming Phoenix sculptural installation and the Wild Wetlands projections project.

“Murray Arts is one of Inspiring Australia’s Regional Science Hubs so we have timed the Limelight event to coincide with Endangered Species Day. We’ll be showcasing our innovative project, the Pygmy Perch 360°, where the viewer is immersed in the action and the little local fish have their time to shine. “

On Thursday 20 September when the sun goes down, the lights will come up to celebrate Limelight: Art. Science. Light. Our guides will be on hand to show you through the space anytime from 6:30 – 8:30 pm, so bring the whole family along.

We are looking for community members to help out on the night  as a Volunteer Guide! For more information call the Murray Arts team (02) 6021 5034 or email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
