This year marks a historic milestone as Tallangatta celebrates 70 years since the township was relocated to its current site. To kick off a weekend of community celebrations running from June 26th to 29th, 2026, Tallangatta Rotary and Benambra Lodge will present the “Town That Moved” Art Show and Sale.

The exhibition is set to showcase the stunning natural landscapes and unique social character of the Upper Murray region, highlighting the sustainable environmental values and natural beauty of the area.

Members of the public and local community groups are invited to attend, view incredible regional talent, and purchase unique local artwork. This event marks the first of many scheduled activities across the anniversary weekend to honour Tallangatta’s resilient history.
