Snowy Mountain Tango Festival 2025

An Argentine tango boot camp for true beginners to learn to dance. A weekend full of dancing, socializing and exploring the Upper Murray for new and existing dancers from across Australia.

What is happening during the weekend?

A Tango Boot Camp, starting Friday night with the Tango Introduction class and encompassing 3 workshop sessions throughout the weekend, is catered for beginners with no previous dance experience needed. ​This course is perfect for beginners, as well as existing dancers who want to strengthen their fundamentals or learn the opposite role. The learnings from this Tango Boot Camp will enable you to have a great time on the dance floor.

There are several Milongas (social dancing sessions) throughout the weekend. They welcome everyone, from beginners to expert dancers.

A concert will also be part of the weekend. The audience set-up will include a dance floor, so dancers can dance to the music. Concert tickets can be purchased independently or as part of weekend packages.

This year, an Arts Exhibition will complete the offer, providing a visual insight into tango from regional artists and younger artists-at-heart.
