Now in its third year, the popular Six Artists’ exhibition held in Chiltern, will for the first time feature a guest curator, creating an engaging experience for visitors to this wide variety of art; from weaving to watercolour, abstracts and landscapes.

Held on the June long weekend, contributing artist, Louise Hazelton said the Six Artists are delighted to have Inga Hanover, a well-known Beechworth artist, curating the works.

“When showcasing so many different styles of art, including paintings, print works and sculptures, we are very pleased to have Inga bring her skills and experience to arranging the works,” Ms Hazleton said.

This year’s Six Artists’ exhibition features works by Sharon Barry, Chris Dormer, Louise Hazelton, Serena Rachel, Birgit Schonafinger and Tanya Webber. Chris, Louise and Serena have exhibited in the previous two shows, were joined by Sharon last year and Tanya and Birgit are emerging artists taking part for the first time.

The show will be officially opened by Simone Nolan, the Manager of Arts, Culture and Events with the Rural City of Wangaratta on Saturday, 7 June at 3pm.

The exhibition is open from 10am to 4pm on Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday, 6 to 9 June.
