Workshop Details
In this workshop by Daniel Butterworth, you will learn tips on materials, mediums, scale and light, developed from more than 20 years as a practising artist.

Through demonstrations and one-on-one feedback, Daniel will guide you in Portrait Painting – the power of composition and the effect it can have on a work, how to reflect on your subject and look at ways of amplifying their personality with the use of light, size and pose.

About the Artist
Doug Moran and Archibald Prize finalist, Daniel Butterworth is an established artist specialising in portraiture – frequently using self portraits to express social, political and personal views.

What to Bring
– 6 images of people or things you’d like to paint (can be on an iPad, tablet, phone or hard copy)
– Lunch, Snack & Drink
