As a natural light photographer, Sonya focus’s on capturing the raw, untouched beauty of Northeast Victoria’s native birdlife and landscapes. Based out of Albury Wodonga, her photographic journey winds through Baranduda, Lake Hume, Yackandandah, and Beechworth, extending up into the High-Country roads—including Bright, Mt Beauty, Mt Buffalo, and Mt Hotham, just to name a few.
Sonya believes in presenting nature exactly as it unfolds before her lens, preserving the authentic, unfiltered character of the Australian bush.
Nature presents itself to her in its purest forms, and she chooses to present her images exactly as they are shown to her. Through Natures Beauties II, Sonya hopes to bring the raw quality of our local environment to life, encouraging viewers to stop, focus, and connect with the incredible beauty that surrounds us.
This collection marks a definitive milestone in her creative growth and journey as a local amateur photographer, and she is proud to share these remarkable moments here within the Gateway Gallery.
