Enjoy this weekend workshop with professional printmaker, Clayton Tremlett exploring the essential elements of linocut printmaking and portraiture. All equipment is provided. You are encouraged to bring a portrait image to use as a reference in the development of your prints. You can also can bring a laptop with a USB output if you want to learn new skills in image manipulation for the development of your imagery.
The workshop includes:
-development of an image
-transferring the image to a linoblock
-carving
-proofing
-printing, and
-ghost printing your portrait on archival printmaking paper.
Clayton Tremlett’s work examines Australian history and culture, following sustained periods of research. He exhibits regularly in regional and pubic galleries across Victoria.
The artist has twenty years experience in arts education, with his highly popular Linocut Portraiture workshops facilitated for Bendigo, Geelong and Castlemaine art galleries. He is represented in the Australian National Gallery, Ballarat, Bendigo, Castlemaine, Geelong, Mornington Peninsula, Wangaratta, Warrnambool and State Library of Victoria collections.
