Learn how to carve with artist Noriko Nakamura!
Noriko will talk through her carving process and teach you how to cut, chisel and file limestone to turn into your own sculptural artwork.
You will have the opportunity to view Noriko’s sculptures in her current exhibition What our bodies bring to us (2026) at MAMA, then head back to the workshop to begin working on your own limestone sculpture.
Aprons and safety gear, such as dust masks, eye protection and gloves, are supplied. This workshop may contain loud noises when carving, so students are welcome to bring their own earmuffs if needed.
