Put everything else aside for an evening and settle in to paint your own Australian kookaburra.

This relaxed Paint & Connect workshop is designed to make painting approachable, even if you’ve never picked up a paintbrush before. You’ll use carbon paper to trace the design onto your A4 plywood board, so there’s no drawing required, then follow a simple colour paint guide to bring your kookaburra to life one section at a time.

Think of it a little like paint-by-colour, but with more freedom. The tracing gives you the design, the colour guide helps you know where to start, and I’ll guide you through the process along the way. You can follow the guide closely or make your own colour choices as you go.

There’s no blank canvas pressure and no expectation that everyone’s finished piece will look exactly the same. Settle in, paint, chat and enjoy watching your artwork come together.

Small by design
Our workshops are intentionally kept small. You’ll have plenty of room to paint, time to ask questions and the freedom to work at your own pace, without feeling rushed or lost in a crowd.

You don’t need to consider yourself artistic. This isn’t about keeping up with everyone else or creating a perfect painting. It’s simply a couple of hours to slow down, work with your hands and enjoy the process.

Your evening includes
Your A4 plywood kookaburra board, paints, brushes, carbon paper and everything else you need to complete your artwork are supplied.

You’re welcome to BYO your favourite sip and snacks to enjoy while you paint.

Come with a friend, bring a small group or come on your own. Settle in, have a chat and give yourself two hours where there’s nowhere else you need to be.

You’ll leave with your own hand-painted kookaburra artwork, ready to take home — and hopefully feeling a little more relaxed than when you arrived.
