Hooked on Choral Classics – Presented by The Murray Concert Choir

The Murray Concert Choir, under the direction of Paul Tasker and accompanied by Sandra Williams, is thrilled to present Hooked on Choral Classics — a spectacular concert series combining the power of choral singing with the richness of a 17-piece chamber orchestra.

This vibrant performance will showcase the best of sacred, secular, and contemporary choral works, from cathedral classics to music from film and television. Expect a mix of the familiar and the unexpected — pieces you love, and music you’ll be glad to discover.

Featured composers include Bach, Mozart, Vivaldi, Haydn, Puccini, Mendelssohn, Verdi, and Franck, alongside modern favourites from Doctor Who, The Vicar of Dibley, Henry V, The Hobbit, and more. The concert will open with O Fortuna and close with the triumphant Hallelujah Chorus — two of the greatest choral “bangers” of all time.

Music lovers of all ages and backgrounds will find something to enjoy in this concert of “greatest hits” from the world of choral music.
