Albury Wodonga Youth Ballet is proud to bring one of ballet’s most loved romantic comedies to the Cube stage!
Based on the classic story by Miguel de Cervantes – widely considered the first modern novel ever written – the ballet follows the titular Don Quixote as he sets off on a quest to find his true love.
Early on in this quest, he meets the young couple Kitri and Basilio. They are deeply in love and wish to be married, but Kitri’s father demands that she instead marry the foppish nobleman, Gamache. The pair seek refuge with a group of travellers and hilarity ensues when Don Quixote follows and attempts to fight a windmill.
Eventually, true love wins out and Kitri and Basilio celebrate their wedding. Don Quixote leaves for his next adventure…

With gorgeous music by Ludwig Minkus and incredibly talented up-and-coming ballet dancers from throughout the Border region, this production will provide entertainment for the whole family!
