In 2023, Paul Farries donated 60 artworks to Country Hope to support the local charity dedicated to children with life-threatening illnesses and their families.
Now diagnosed with a terminal illness herself, Paul has inspired other artists in the community to follow in her footsteps for an Exhibition to be held at Gateway Gallery in June.
“The 2023 retrospective was such a wonderful success; I didn’t think I would have a chance to help again. But turns out I had more work waiting to be painted,” Paul said.
Partnering with the Murray Arts, interested artists are encouraged to contact Executive Director Lauren Black to enter works into the exhibition.
“The first time I met Paul I was amazed at how prolific she was as well as the diversity and vibrancy of her art,” Lauren said. “We are humbled to be able to support this wonderful cause.”
A member of Albury Wodonga Arts Society, Farries will donate a range of artworks along with other local artists including watercolours, acrylics, oils, mosaics, photography and mixed media.
All profits from sales will go to Country Hope.
Artists interested in learning more or contributing to the exhibition should contact Murray Arts on 02 6021 5034 or email director@murrayarts.org.au
