Join Creators Artspace for a celebration of printing.
Each introductory workshops will lead you into the art of Linocut, Drypoint or Gel Printing.

LINOCUT WITH VALMA – TUESDAY 8TH SEPTEMBER

Using an easy to carve lino cutting plate, participants will be shown a number of cutting and mark making methods, and use these to make their own simple linocut plate. The theme is “kitchen” – bring a picture or drawing of a kitchen item such as a teapot, cup & saucer or other item. Participants will print their design and take their prints and plates home with them. Prints will be A5 size.
Tuesday 8th September, 10.00 am – 12.00 pm

GEL PRINTING WITH LEA – TUESDAY 22ND SEPTEMBER

Using gel plates and acrylic inks we will produce some simple botanical prints. Bring a favourite leaf, grass stem or flower which we will use as a stencil or imprint. A variety of papers will be used to reveal some of the differing outcomes and uses of this print method. Prints will be A5 size
Tuesday 22nd September, 10.00 am – 12.00 pm

DRYPOINT WITH KERRYN – SATURDAY 3RD OCTOBER

Using an inexpensive clear acetate plate and simple etching tools participants will be shown how to create and print an image. Bring a photograph or drawing to trace onto the plate. Skills learnt at this workshop can be used to create etchings on other mediums such as Tetrapaks or a sheet of aluminium. Prints will be A5 size
