In this two-day workshop, explore silicograph – an experimental printmaking process using silicone to create raised-line plates. In this hands-on workshop, you’ll experiment with drawing, relief, and monotype techniques to produce expressive, tactile prints.
Participants will create their own silicone plates – abstract or representational – learning how to build, dry, cure and modify the plate. Demonstrations will cover a range of inking, wiping, and printing methods, both with and without a press.
You’ll also discover how silicograph can be combined with monotyping, selective colouring, and chine collé to add subtle colour and depth. Ideal for artists and printmakers looking to expand their practice through experimentation and material exploration.
