The Art of Foot Printing

Wacky Bird Gallery is proud to present The Art of Foot Printing, a captivating exhibition by celebrated printmaker Christine Upton. On display throughout August, September and October 2025, this showcase offers a rare glimpse into Christine’s early explorations of lino block printing from 1994 to 1998.

This exhibition serves as a prelude to her upcoming solo show at Belconnen Arts Centre in Canberra, opening in October 2026, which will survey over a decade of works created between 2016 and 2026. It follows her widely acclaimed 2015 retrospective, The Carved Line, which featured over 200 linocut prints.

Audiences can expect to see Christine’s earlier works beautifully presented—many newly framed using Australian timbers, double mounts, and non-reflective glass by Albury Picture Framers. The exhibition offers a unique opportunity to experience the origins of her richly detailed and expressive style.
