School Drama 2020 EOI & Workshop

School Drama™ returns to the Border region in 2020!

School Drama is a professional learning program that partners Primary School teachers with professional performing artists for 7 weeks, for one school term – inspiring a passion for reading, critical thinking, performance and oral literacy.

A partnership between Sydney Theatre Company, Murray Arts and HotHouse Theatre, School Drama has a dual focus. The primary focus is on the individual teacher’s professional learning. With this in mind, a Teaching Artist will model how to use process drama-based strategies with quality children’s literature to improve teaching and learning. The secondary focus is on improving student literacy and engagement.

Expression of interest for the 2020 School Drama program is now open. Please fill out the form HERE.

Expressions of interest are open to Primary Schools located within the Murray Arts footprint of City of WodongaIndigo Shire and Towong Shire in VIC and Federation CouncilGreater Hume Council and AlburyCity in NSW.

WORKSHOP: All teachers are invited to attend a professional development workshop with Director of Education, John Nicholas Saunders from Sydney Theatre Company, 4pm-7pm on Monday 16 March 2020 at The Studio, HotHouse Theatre.
