School Drama™ returns to the Border region in 2020!
School Drama is a professional learning program that partners Primary School teachers with professional performing artists for 7 weeks, for one school term – inspiring a passion for reading, critical thinking, performance and oral literacy.
A partnership between Sydney Theatre Company, Murray Arts and HotHouse Theatre, School Drama has a dual focus. The primary focus is on the individual teacher’s professional learning. With this in mind, a Teaching Artist will model how to use process drama-based strategies with quality children’s literature to improve teaching and learning. The secondary focus is on improving student literacy and engagement.
Expression of interest for the 2020 School Drama program is now open. Please fill out the formHERE.
Expressions of interest are open to Primary Schools located within the Murray Arts footprint of City of Wodonga, Indigo Shire and Towong Shire in VIC and Federation Council, Greater Hume Council and AlburyCity in NSW.
