We’re inviting our community to a laneway party like no other! Murray Arts is transforming AMP Lane into a vibrant, hands-on creative precinct named Blank Canvas on Friday, 31 October.

This is a vibrant celebration where creativity will reign supreme and people of all ages are warmly welcome! Explore a world of making and imagination through weaving, collage, drawing, storytelling, painting, music, and more, with opportunities for everyone to get involved, create, and connect. For 30 years, Murray Arts has been the peak champion of regional arts supporting creative industries across our communities – and now it’s time to come together and celebrate!

Here’s the secret: you don’t have to be ‘good’ at art – just come have a play! Whether you’re an old hand or new to the creative arts, come along, add your own unique touch, and help us transform the laneway into a colourful tapestry of ideas, stories, and shared experiences. No rules, no expectations -just create for the joy of it.

Explore our interactive stations throughout the lane: 

• Pop-Up Art Gallery: Create your own artwork on the spot and hang it directly on the laneway gallery walls to become part of the exhibition!
• Community Mural: Grab a brush or marker and leave your mark on our huge shared laneway canvas.
• Pub Choir @ T&G: Raise your voice and end the day with a massive community singalong.
• Cupcake Painting @ DASH: Express your edible artistic flair on a delicious sweet treat.
• Spontaneous Storytelling @ Booktique: Help write and craft an evolving tale directly on the shop windows.
• Flower Power @ Flowers in the Lane : Choose your favourite cardboard bloom, colour it in, and take your custom bouquet home!
• Recycled Maker’s Space @ Cats Pyjamas: Get hands-on with eco-friendly upcycled materials to craft and build something unique.
• Blak Circle @ Pop Up Gallery: Hosted by Blak Circle Artists try your hand at Weaving and Print Making
• Halloween Trinket Making @ Nocturnal Birdie: Create your own spooky charms, keychain or keepsake to takes home.
