Murray Arts are currently seeking assistance to fund the August and September rounds of UNLOCKED, a micro-grant scheme for local creatives during the COVID-19 pandemic. The fund has already assisted 60+ artists in the North East Border region from across all 6 local government areas in the Murray Arts footprint to collaborate and create during June and July. We are asking our community to recognise just how much the people who work in the creative industries enable our leisure time. If you have binge-watched Netflix and online content during isolation, or you attend live music at the SS&A, theatre at The Cube Wodonga, or exhibitions at MAMA in your leisure time (when we are not locked down), please support the work you love by paying the people that made it. It is more important now than it has ever been.
Watch the video below to see how UNLOCKED has helped local creatives via the June 2020 round.
Murray Arts contributes directly to the arts and cultural lifeblood of the NE VIC/ Border region by working directly with individuals, communities and local government to assist them in developing the arts and cultural life of their communities.
Murray Arts gratefully acknowledges funding partners:
Murray Arts acknowledges the traditional custodians and caretakers of the land and waters on which we are privileged to work. We pay our respects to their Elders past and present and encourage everyone to champion our emerging leaders of the future.
