Consequences is a major exhibition exploring the far-reaching effects of the First World War on Albury and surrounding communities.

The First World War, often known as the Great War or ‘the war to end all wars’, had a huge impact across the globe. Consequences is a new exhibition that explores the impacts of this conflict on Albury and surrounding regional communities – impacts which are still felt to this day.

The exhibition explores the stories of those returning home from the war, of their families, and of the industrial, commercial and agricultural developments that occurred as a result of the war. It also uncovers some lesser known stories including the post-homecoming lives of Aboriginal service people.

This project is a collaboration between AlburyCity, Greater Hume, Murray Arts and six regional museums: Jindera Pioneer Museum, Headlie Taylor Header Museum Henty, the Woolpack Inn Museum, Holbrook Pioneer Museum, Wymah Museum, and Culcairn Station House Museum.
