Throughout the Upstream Festival of Art + Culture, there's plenty of events, exhibitions and activities to entertain and inspire at Gateway Village!

A Night on the Island

On the evening of Sunday 8 March, Gateway Village becomes the Festival Hub for UPSTREAM: Festival of Art+Culture

A Night on the Island is a Sunday sundowner of food, wine and the divine on Gateway Island.

Turn up by 6:30 PM, indulge in some local fare, grab a drink from the bar, pull up some grass and be entertained by local artists as the sun sets over the Island.

Then move inside the theatre as magic abounds, then out to the amphitheatre to experience the spectacular, world premiere of OUTSIDER SCIENCE by internationally-acclaimed, Albury based company Acrobat.

Monday Public Holiday at Gateway Village

Gateway Village continues to be the festival hub for the Victorian Public Holiday. There will be a variety of food trucks, La Maison will be open and enjoy local band The High Street Shufflers who will be roving throughout the village!

Exhibition - The Art of Dogs- Creators Artspace

An exhibition about dogs and their world. Prizes presented by Hairy Mclairy author Dame Lynley Dodd.

Round the Block

Try block printing at this fully equipped print studio. For children and adults, participants will carve a block and print a design suitable for fabric or paper. BYO fabric item to print on or use the paper provided.

The studio doors will be open to watch artists at work surrounded by an exhibition. Be surprised by the variety, be curious to try something yourself and be tempted to purchase something to remember your visit.

An exhibition by local artist Rita Wenberg 'not a MYTH' chronicles the impact of the forcible removal of First Nations children from their families through a lifetime of Rita's poetry and painting.
