Well it's been a month of the Murray Arts team working from home and while the team are not physically in the same place, we are still working together to support and celebrate our local creative community.

Even with the disruption to our creative industries, there are still plenty of opportunities for funding, EOI and art prizes. Check them out in this newsletter. Even better, apply for them! If you know of an opportunity coming please let us know.

While many exhibitions and events have been cancelled due to physical distancing regulations I'd like to congratulate the galleries, museums and institutions that have managed to continue showing exhibitions through 3D virtual walkthrough tours. Have you 'visited' any of our local exhibitions? Which was your favourite?

We hope you are keeping well (and warm!). Keep in touch with us on our social channels and website.

Murray Arts is Listening

A Piece of Work, a podcast hosted by Broad City’s Abbi Jacobson ( FYI Broad City best TV show ever -although some of you will disagree!), is everything you wanted to know about modern and contemporary art but were afraid to ask. A bicycle wheel attached to a stool; a giant canvas splattered with paint; dozens of soup cans…for many museum visitors, works like these prompt a ton of questions. In this 10-episode podcast, Abbi looks for answers in lively conversations with curators, artists, and some friends, including Hannibal Buress, Tavi Gevinson, RuPaul, and Questlove.
