'6' - Tickets are now on sale
‘6 is a multimedia performance piece created by choreographer Tim Podesta and film maker Helen Newman which explores the changing nature of social connection and integration.

‘6’ is the first piece created by the ‘dis/assemble dance project’ – a unique project which has seen dancers from the Regional Academy of Performing Arts work alongside dancers with a disability from Skills Innovative Training Enterprise Inc (SITE) and professional dancer Victoria Ballard.


Don’t miss this performance which weaves dance, film, projections and drama into a dynamic and emotional contemporary dance piece.

The evening will also include a performance of ‘Artifice’ by international choreographer Rosalie Van Horik and a selection of short dance films.

A Month In The Country: Performing Arts Residencies

Likened to the famous Sundance Institute established in the USA by Robert Redford, this national residency program established by HotHouse Theatre brings artists from across Australia to Albury Wodonga for between one and five weeks during the creative development phase of new theatre projects.

Now in its 5th year AMITC has assisted many Australian theatre artists to bring their work to fruition. A Month in the Country is a service to the national theatre industry, allowing groups of artists to experience the intensity of a regional working experience.

Applications for residencies are accepted twice each year. This program is delivered with the support of Albury City, Arts NSW, Arts Victoria, the Australia Council, and The Myer Foundation. Details from HotHouse Theatre's website www.hothousetheatre.com.au

Accessible Arts Bundanon Residency
In partnership with the Bundanon Trust, Accessible Arts is providing an artist in residency opportunity for a NSW artist with a disability.

Artists practicing in dance, design, digital technologies, moving image, literature, visual arts and theatre are eligible to apply. The successful applicant will undertake a four-week residency at the Bundanon properties on the Shoalhaven River in April 2010 and receive a $3000 stipend.

2009 IMAGinE awards – nominations open!
Nominations are now open for the 2009 IMAGinE awards. After their successful launch last year at the Art Gallery of NSW, this year the IMAGinE awards will be held at the Australian Maritime Museum on Saturday 17 October. The IMAGinE awards are presented by M&G NSW, Museums Australia (NSW & ACT), and Regional & Public Galleries NSW and are an opportunity to honor the achievements of the NSW & ACT public museum and gallery sector and those who work within it. Galleries, museums and other exhibiting / organisations are encouraged to apply.

PNAN Youth Arts Festival is on the lookout for the hottest young and emerging talent (aged 16-25 in NSW) across the fields of short film, graphic design and creative writing.
